| EVERY CAR HAS A STORY! |
| It was back in 2000 when a guy I work with just exchange his big GMC van for this 1981 Mercedes 300SD. Back then, I didn't even have my license so I couldn't get any car. So I waited 2 years until the day he said he wanted to sell it. The reason, he has to many cars and he can't take car of them. Finally, the day I passed my driving test, I went to buy this car. How much I payed? Only 2000$ CND! So from then on I started fixing the car up. Here are some information about the car. It a 1981 Mercedes 300SD TurboDiesel. Yep that's right, a diesel! The engine is a 3.0L inline 5 Turbo producing 123HP and around 170lbs-ft. I know, it's not that fast, the acceleration is very slow on these cars, but they are fast on the highway. When you get passed 100km/h, you start appreciating this TurboDiesel. Also, the handling is great, hugs the roads, surprising for a car this big. Anyways, this is a good car for me because it doesn't cost much to run it, it runs on diesel! |
